Off to the Park

Finally we had a few nice days! We took a walk down to the park which actually took longer than the time we spent at the park!! Oh well, they had fun.

Easter

We went to Eric's family in New Hampton to celebrate Easter. We had a little Easter egg hunt and the weather actually cooperated. Cohen didn't really understand what he was supposed to be doing but he did enjoy running around the park filling up his basket with rocks, sticks, garbage, etc. Adelyn enjoyed dying the Easter eggs and then decorating with princess stickers. After we were done she asked "Now why did we do that?". Good question!! She was so excited that the Easter Bunny had found her house and left a basket full of goodies for her.

Big news- no I'm not pregnant!

We are moving! We have been keeping our eye on a lot (one of the last big, flat lots left in Coralville) for about 3 years and it was finally put up for sale. We took a chance and put our house on the market and it sold within 6 weeks. We will move out of our house the last weekend in May and will live in a rental until the new house is done in October. Moving twice will not be fun but I have a good start on the packing already. We can't wait to have a backyard instead of a ski-slope like we have now.

Catch UP

I somehow missed posting anything the whole month of March! The kids are doing great. We have enjoyed the occasional nice day but have still been stuck inside. Adelyn is finally enjoying school. She actually cried the last time I picked her up because she didn't want to leave. She just got her first bike, of course it had to be Barbie. She has been doing great with the occasional tumble but nothing too serious. Cohen is growing like a weed. He still doesn't talk as much as Addie did at his age. His vocabulary right now consists of "Don't", "All done", "More", "Da", "DAAAAAAAAAAA (Addie), "MaMa", and "Down". He has many other ways of expressing himself like screaming. He has started "running" which is pretty cute and tries to jump. He is very good at playing with his trucks and trains and can keep himself entertained. He does like to torment Adelyn and now has started in on the cats. They tend to stay hidden most of the day and venture out at night when he is sleeping!

Gymnastics duo

Everytime Adelyn gets dressed for gymnastics Cohen grabs her other leotard and demands that he wears it. He thinks he is pretty "hot stuff".

What a mess!

What a mess! Nothing beats a messy donut on a Saturday morning. Cohen obviously was enjoying it! He has become quite the character lately. He loves to antagonize Adelyn and is testing limits big time. He's still a sweet little guy most of the time :)!

Gymnastics

It was "picture day" at gymnastics! Adelyn is loving it and Cohen even got in on some of the fun.
